This project involved the comprehensive surface preparation and application of a high-performance, multi-coat anti-corrosive paint system to protect structural steel elements at the Weligama development. The scope included grit blasting to achieve a SA 2.5 cleanliness standard, application of a zinc-rich epoxy primer for cathodic protection, followed by a high-build epoxy intermediate coat, and finished with a durable polyurethane topcoat for superior UV and chemical resistance. The system was engineered to withstand the harsh coastal marine environment of Weligama, preventing rust, corrosion, and structural degradation to ensure long-term asset integrity and safety. The project was executed with strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards, delivering a robust protective finish that extends the maintenance cycle and preserves the structural value.
